**Job Summary:**
The **Delivery Supervisor**is responsible to carry out customer delivery operations that include but are not limited to order fulfillment, equipment maintenance, problem solving, routing and proper scheduling of drivers.
**Responsibilities/Duties:**
Have a working knowledge of all DOT rules and regulations governing the safe operation of company issued equipment
Experience in utilizing Electronic Log Data (ELD) per DOT requirements
Perform regular inspections of facilities and equipment to ensure safety compliance
Conduct thorough safety training as prescribed by company, OHSA, and DOT guidelines and maintain required safety certifications
Report any incidents as prescribed by company guidelines
Coordinate driver schedules according to delivery needs to assure materials are distributed in a timely manner
Use appropriate delivery tools such as LTL services when necessary.
Confirm delivery information with the customer before the delivery leaves the warehouse
Ensure loads are properly secured before transport
Drive and operate delivery vehicle in a safe and careful manner
When necessary, deliver goods to customer specified sites according to routing and transportation instructions
Load and unload goods at each site in a safe and customer-sensitive manner
Ensure deliveries are done in a timely manner and according to any customers requests
Pick-up goods from suppliers as requested by the Branch Manager and/or Operation Manager
Keep an up-to-date weekly delivery list for the Branch Manager and Sales Representatives
Maximize routing efforts by calling customers located within each route to generate sales and to utilize the truck to its best capacity
Represent company in customer-sensitive manner during all customer and supplier interactions at warehouse or customer/supplier sites
Assist the Branch Manager in organizing warehouse layout and storage bins
Ensure clear and safe passage in all warehouse aisles and loading docks
Assist in warehouse cleanliness at all times
Report all unsafe storage and equipment issues to Operations Manager immediately
Assist in conducting site-specific physical inventories and cycle counting as directed by the Branch Manager, Operations Manager
Notify the Operations manager if stocked materials are in need of replenishment
Schedule equipment (truck, forklift, etc.) maintenance
Supervise trucks daily inspection correct any problems before the trucks goes out
Request approval for major repairs from the Operations Manager
Ensure each truck has proper documentation and credentials
Report any accident immediately to Human Resources for insurance processing and Operations Manager for repair approvals
Keep good records of required employee documents such as drivers license and DOT medical cards ensure these documents are kept up-to-date
Ensure proper training of employees in all DOT regulations, document requirements, truck maintenance, warehouse processes, etc.
Supervise proper completion of driving log and truck inspections
Furnish disciplinary actions when needed
Submit Driver staffs timesheets and requested PTO to payroll per set schedule
Fill-in as needed for the operations manager in the event of his/ her absence
Observe all safety regulations
Participate in all safety training and maintain required safety certifications

**Qualification/Skills:**
Operate material handling equipment including a forklift, pallet jack, and shrink wrapper
Identify product numbers and alpha/numeric codes
Must meet physical requirements of the job

Take initiative to encourage and suggest improvements in processes
**Education and/or Experience:**
High School diploma, or equivalent required- college degree preferred
1-2+ years supervisory experience in a warehouse, transportation, or distribution environment preferred
DOT experience preferred
**Licensures and Other Requirements:**
Meets all DOT, State and/or Legal requirements that pertain to this position
