- Travel to the CIRI region villages to provide services and to promote utilization of community resources; Virtual services as applicable.
- Conduct orientation/intake/interview meetings with potential TVR participants; explain program services and requirements to all interested referrals and applicants.

- Assist participants with supportive services according to program policy, procedure and budget.
- Work as part of a cohesive team who recognize and understand their role within the larger departmental team.
- Assist each particiant in becoming active in his/her rehabilitation program, and aid them in making meaningful and informed choices about the selection of vocational and/or rehabilitation services.
- Coordinate the delivery of program services with the Alaska Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) and other social services agencies to maximize the availability of services to participants in an efficient, professional and timely manner.
- Attend training, meetings, and conferences that will enhance the ability to provide quality vocational rehabilitation (VR) services and increase knowledge of job responsibilities.
- Maintain a caseload in outlying villages and in the Anchorage service area if needed, and submit monthly, quarterly, and year-end performance reports as required; assist with the management of the Anchorage caseload as needed.
- Inform and frequently consult with TVR Program Manager regarding program activities, issues, and concerns to seek guidance and direction for the program as deemed necessary.
- Utilize internal databases, ensuring compliance with federal regulations governing confidentiality, ethics, and program services; create/scan client files: case notes, medical records, eligibilities, IPEs, supportive services, etc.) and provide monthly program reports.
- Develop a knowledge base of community resources to assist participants in achieving their vocational goals.
- Become familiar with Vocational Rehabilitative process and the numerical status involved to monitor participant progress in their rehabilitation programs.
- Participate in training and professional development activities as scheduled.
- Responsible for current statistical database input on participant file activities (progress case notes, expenditure records, monthly status change records, IPE services summary etc.) and retrieving of monthly statistics for program reports.
- Schedule assessments, evaluations and appointments for TVR participants as necessary to determine appropriate TVR services.
- Process paperwork for program expenditures for Program Manager to approve.
- Refer participants to ETSD Life Skills classes as appropriate
- Provide eligible TVR participants with case management to assist in their rehabilitative needs.
- Maintain confidentiality according to regulations, policies, and procedures.

- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, education, and training and cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.

- Must be willing to work with participants in various settings. (office, community, and in the home)
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, social services, human services or behavioral science, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for experience requirement on a year-for-year basis. Associate's degree with at least two (2) years' experience in Vocational Rehabilitation or related field may be substituted for bachelor's degree requirement.
- One (1) year of paraprofessional or professional experience providing social assistance services to people with disabilities.
- Two (2) years' experience in Vocational Rehabilitation or closely related field.
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of a satisfactory report from a state and federal background check.
- Valid Alaska driver's license and insurable under CITC's automotive insurance, which requires a driver to be at least 21 years of age and have had a driver's license for at least three years.

General Functions:
The Tribal Vocational Rehabilitation Outreach Case Manager provides vocational rehabilitation services to eligible Alaska Natives and American Indians consistent with their individual strengths, resources, priorities, concerns, abilities, capabilities, and informed choices so that they may prepare for, or engage in gainful employment, including self-employment, a subsistence plan, telecommuting, or business ownership. This position does require travel (both vehicle and air travel.
