    Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Behavioral Health Crisis Center


    SUMMARY:

    - LPNs play a crucial role in providing daily care and support to individuals at the Behavioral Health Crisis Center. They are responsible for tasks such as medication administration, group leadership, and other duties outlined by the LPN Nurse Practice Act and agency policies.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the medication room efficiently
    • Conduct chart checks each shift and report medication errors as per agency protocol
    • Administer emergency medication and maintain accurate documentation
    • Handle crisis situations tactfully, including physical intervention if necessary
    • Assist with admissions and discharges
    • Monitor and record vital signs of clients
    • Provide education to individuals and families
    • Ensure high-quality services while enhancing program performance
    • Maintain supply inventory and stock
    • Participate in crisis intervention and acute care management
    • Collaborate with BHCC team for individual treatment plans
    • Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
    • Demonstrate competency in various medical procedures and tests
    • Attend meetings and training sessions as required

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Education - Diploma/Vocational Diploma in Practical or Vocational Nursing
    • Licensure/Certification - Georgia Licensed Practical Nurse
    • Experience - Proficiency in basic nursing skills
    • Other - Clear criminal background check, valid driver's license, drug screening

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience - Minimum two years in a behavioral health facility
    • Bi-lingual abilities are advantageous
