    Job Description


    As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol Rounds in Fairfax, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. You will respond to concerns, document activity, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication.     What You'll Do:

    • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
    • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and timely notification of on-site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
    • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify and report hazards, unsecured areas, and/or suspicious behavior.
    • Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization, and documenting visitor activity in accordance with site requirements.
    • Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in compliance with applicable laws, training standards, and Allied Universal post requirements, and complete thorough incident reports and daily activity logs.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
    • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
    • Be at least 21 years of age.
    • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
    • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
    • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
    • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
    • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
    • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
    • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
    • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
    • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
