For more than 25 years, the Atlas Management team has provided management and human resources solutions to businesses, and employment opportunities to individuals. Atlas Management is hiring 2 Materials Lab Technicians for a Tire Manufacturing facility in the Lavergne, TN area.

Materials Lab Technician

Location: Lavergne, TN 37086

Salary: $ per hour

Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday, 2-2-3 schedule. 5pm to 5am . Alternating 48 / 36.

Job Description

This position is responsible for assuring that all rubber compounds utilized in the production process meet standards and specifications. MRC and PT Labs are the major control points for compound identity and integrity. The function of this job is one of many gate keepers to prevent non-conforming products from entering into or proceeding in the process. The position encompasses making decisions that impact our plant and company cost.

This person, at a minimum, be able to operate/perform the following testing operations:

MDR - Moving Die Rheometer

MV - Mooney Viscosity

Density Testing

Tensile Testing

Rubber Cement Testing

Candidate Key Performance Factors -

Quality minded individual with skills in - attention to detail, ability to read and follow intermediate to advance work instruction,
intermediate skills in Microsoft office programs,
good organization skills,
Ability to communicate test results effectively via email and verbally.
Multitasking is imperative to manage multiple testing machines and job functions.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates a +
