    Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort and Spa is looking for a full-time Banquet Set Up Attendant.

    The Banquet Setup Houseperson will maintain and organize all banquet service and storage areas. As well as prepare function space for catered and convention functions.

    Responsibilities:
    • Report to work on time and in complete uniform prepared for the shift.
    • Prepare function space for catered and convention functions in a timely manner.
    • Maintain, clean and organize all banquet function, service, and storage areas.
    • Maintain proper handling of Hotel property and equipment while maintaining proper safety and security procedures.
    • Setup and teardown function spaces properly and efficiently.
    • Sanitize function areas and back of house areas. Remove trash to the dumpster.
    • Maintain organize equipment in storage areas during function setups and teardowns.
    • Assist guests with all requests.
    • Follow events through the agenda (Banquet Event Order) to service areas and guests.
    • General repair to equipment.

    Qualifications
    Education:
    • High School Diploma preferred but not required

    Physical Demands
    Must be able to:
    • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
    • Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
    • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
    • Use, carry and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.
    • Communicate with employees, managers, subordinates, and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.
    • Visually look at a computer for extended periods of time.
    • Adapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as the thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems. Most work tasks are performed indoors.
