- Welcoming newly hired employees and executing the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey including background, drug, and health screens plus any required new employee documentation.
- Maintaining accurate employee personnel records in an HRIS or electronic file, as appropriate, in compliance with all federal, state, and/or local laws and/or regulations and insures the confidentiality of these records according to Indianan Donor Network policy and all applicable laws.
- Developing and maintaining a variety of reports or queries for ready access to key HR and Payroll data.
- Completing Workforce Development unemployment documentation and other regulatory reports as required.
- Responsible for data analysis and reporting related to HRIS or payroll information, as needed and in support of organizational or departmental initiatives.
- Responsible for federal and local government reporting, including OSHA and unemployment law requirements.
- Assisting in the transactional administration of employee benefits for initial enrollments, changes, and qualifying events, through exceptional customer service to employees when needs arise, and utilization of HRIS system and benefit vendor portals.
- Assisting in the transactional administration of terminating employee benefits in HRIS and In partnership with manager, coordinates effective benefit plan annual enrollment communications, materials, meetings, and employee follow up, as needed.
- Providing informational benefit plan updates to employees, as dictated by government regulations or shared by plan providers.
- Supporting the manager in FMLA administration and tracking.
- Assuring government and accrediting agency regulatory and reporting requirements are met.
- Supporting engagement efforts through organizational activities such as retention awards and active leadership on the Employee Engagement Task Force.
- Investigating first level employee relations concerns, recommending appropriate action to leadership.
- Collaborating with manager on new hire touchpoints. Partners with leaders to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with manager on exit interview process, using the data to make recommendations for improvement.
- Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and related software for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and emails.
- Demonstrated organizational and planning skills and attention to detail.

This key role on a small and high-touch Human Resources team will be instrumental in providing exceptional service and HR support to candidates, team members, and leadership throughout the organization. As the Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for performing HR related duties and consultation at a professional level and in partnership with leadership across the organization. The HR Generalist has responsibility under the leadership of the HR department for the following functional areas: benefits administration support, employee relations and engagement, labor analytics, and HR compliance.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or a related area required. Three (3) to five (5) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience required. PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
