    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role based in Mooresville, NC, for an Operations Manager. The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations to ensure organizational efficiency and effectiveness. Responsibilities include managing budgets, accounts payable/receivable, coordinating office operations, maintaining records, streamlining organizational processes, meeting planning/logistics, and supporting team projects. The role also involves collaboration with stakeholders, preparing reports, and supporting the CEO as needed to support ICEDC's mission.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational, project management, and multitasking skills
    • Proficiency in office administration, record management, and budgeting
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Experience with process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
    • Proficiency in using office and productivity software, such as Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, Settle, Online Banking, Zoom, Teams, CRM (Podio), etc.
    • Bachelor's degree with focus on Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Management, or related field is preferred or 5 years of equivalent/experience in similar role.
    • Experience in the economic development or nonprofit sector is a plus

This is a unique opportunity to play a central role in ensuring that Iredell EDC runs smoothly and effectively each day. The person in this role will help connect people, systems, and processes—supporting operations, financial management, board and investor engagement, and key events that shape our work across the county and region.

    We are seeking someone who is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and skilled at managing multiple priorities at once. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating QuickBooks and Microsoft Office, learning new systems like CRMs, and ensuring timely and accurate communication and records for our board(s) and investor relations efforts. They maintain accuracy even under tight deadlines, communicate with polished professionalism, and naturally create structure in environments with many moving pieces. Someone who anticipates needs, solves problems before they escalate, and maintains confidentiality will thrive in this role.
