    Description


    Responsible for leading and implementation program that supports non-physician clinical staff with orientation and competency assessment in order to promote standardized clinical work flow and optimal patient care.

    Evaluates performance, provide feedback and mentors, develop education programs, and contribute to staff professional development and provide oversight of Environment of Care (EOC) and Infection Prevention (IP) in collaboration with the IP departments.


    Principal Accountabilities:

    • Identifies the clinical and professional development needs of nursing staff, plans and provides education in area of expertise. Develops and provides educational programs and conferences for staff, other departments, and community.
    • Plans, and implements quality improvement programs for both clinical education and environment of care. Works with staff to identify interventions needed to successfully implement workflow changes.
    • Reviews patient and staff data to measure the effectiveness of patient care.
    • Works with senior leadership, interdisciplinary teams and other stakeholders in order to develop, implement and evaluate programs and services in align with the system.
    • Addresses issues to promote a productive and supportive work environment.
    • Maintains clinical and non-clinical guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
    • Promotes and maintains safe and clean working environment by designing and implementing procedures, rules, and regulations. Provides assistance from other health care professionals within the system and from regulatory agencies.
    • Protects patients and employees by developing and interpreting infection-control policies and protocols; enforcing medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
    • Maintains and works among the health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods
    • Performs other related duties as assigned.

    Required:

    • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
    2. 5 years' experience in clinical, management experience in a nursing care setting or relevant area.

    • Certification in BLS and valid NJ nursing license.
    4. 5+ years of experience in OB/GYN
    5. 5 years of healthcare management experience

    • Demonstrated expertise in leadership, mentoring ability, organization, and problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Experience leading customer relations, finance, and productivity management, continuous quality improvement, personnel staffing and development, and directing or leading activities in the department.
