Your Role:
The FP&A Analyst position (based in the Plano office) will be focused on providing data-driven support for multiple business units within HPA.
Preparing, maintaining, and assisting in the creation of property financial and operational results for presentation to internal and external audiences
Financial and operational modeling and sensitivity analysis around several aspects of business
Regular work in Excel, NetSuite, Zoho, PowerBI as well as other external and internal systems
Regular interaction with head of business units to cross-collaborate
Present results and analysis in larger and small group settings
Supporting the financial reporting function of HPA, budgeting and reforecasting for property operations, property management function, and HPA general and administrative expenses
Providing analysis on acquisition volumes and leasing trends
Developing strategic approaches tied to new initiatives
What we look for:
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in finance or accounting
Demonstrated problem solving ability to think critically and ask pointed questions
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure, work independently and meet deadlines
Strong analytical abilities for trend and variance analysis, financial reporting and drivers/assumptions based financial modeling
Adapt to changing circumstances as it relates to assigned tasks
Demonstrating resourcefulness by seeking out new and creative sources of information
Experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products (PowerPoint/Outlook/Word/Power BI) as well as any experience with accounting software (NetSuite or Yardi)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Computer Science, or other relevant experience
1-3 years of experience in a financial analyst, real estate knowledge a plus
Experience with business intelligence platforms (Zoho/Microsoft PowerBI/Tableau/QuickSite) is preferred
