    Group Home Supervisor



    Location: Johnston, Iowa

    Description:
    This role comes with a $3000 sign-on bonus. As a Group Homes Supervisor, you'll be in charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of a ChildServe group home, ensuring smooth functioning 24/7. Your duties include managing staff hiring, training, and performance, monitoring the budget, and ensuring compliance with state regulations. In addition to providing direct care at times, you'll collaborate with families and other professionals to coordinate individual care plans for children and young adults, with potential for advancement to Group Homes Lead Supervisor.

    Benefits and Compensation:
    The starting salary for this position is $50,000/year, with potential for growth based on experience and education. Full-time employees enjoy health benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement account, with frontloaded PTO upon hire.

    Work Schedule:
    Typically Monday-Friday business hours with on-call duties on evenings and weekends. The nature of the role requires flexibility to meet operational and medical demands.

    Responsibilities:
    • Selects and trains Shift Supervisors and Resident Assistants
    • Supervises and evaluates staff
    • Provides coaching to enhance support for children and young adults
    • Ensures staff are well-trained in 24-hour care supervision
    • Maintains staff-to-resident ratio
    • Oversees budget and facility maintenance

    Care Management:
    Acts as the resident's advocate, collaborates with families on care planning, and conducts Individual Program Plan meetings to ensure personalized care. Monthly case reviews are performed to assess program implementation.

    Program Review:
    Coordinates with IFMC and regulatory authorities, develops programs, provides training, liaises with educational services, and prepares necessary reports.

    Requirements:
    • BA/BS degree in a human service-related field
    • 1 year experience in ICF/DD field, QIDP qualifications, and supervisory experience
    • Effective English communication skills
    • Ability to become an approved driver for ChildServe
    • Preferred certifications: CMA, Medication Manager, CNA

    This role may involve adherence to COVID-19 safety measures, discussed during the interview.
