Manufacturing Engineer - Shreveport, United States - Nivel
Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with a minimum of five years of experience to join our product development team to standardize manufacturing operations and supporting manufacturing engineering at all Nivel locations.
This role also includes the leadership of safety across the network, including coordination of safety reporting, process improvements, root cause and corrective actions on all safety related events in Nivel.
The successful candidate will work across departments and organizations within Nivel to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, timelines and resourcing.
Responsibilities
Investigate all manufacturing engineering and cap-x opportunities that improve output, reduce cost, minimize raw materials, WIP and improve safety & quality across the network.
Drive results to execution for the following initiatives:
Standardize fabricating processes for SHV and CAI
Make recommendations for potential transfer of CAI fabricating to SHV.
Evaluate Jake's kitting process and make recommendations to minimize quality issues.
Make recommendations to fast-track Jake's drawing generation and transfer of tribal information.
Make recommendations on packaging for form, fit, transportability and cost reduction.
Make recommendations for PM spare parts on hand to minimize downtime.
Evaluate Luna operation and generate training materials to transfer tribal knowledge.
Determine if Luna has opportunities to add competencies outside of motor repair. Inspect equipment for safety concerns, investigate and coordinate solutions.
Execute Safety Coordinator responsibilities, tracking of recycling all other support required for our ESG initiatives.
Confirm compliance to all safety rules, regulations and requirements (state, local, company, OSHA).
Coordinate internal resources and external stakeholders for the flawless execution of these multiple projects.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within resourcing.
Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring feasibility.
Ensure resource availability and allocation.
Use and continually develop leadership skills.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Manufactuing Engineering with 5-7 years of experience.
Experience in safety practices, policies and procedures. Rely on developed experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, as well as exploring opportunities to add value to the job and organization on an on-going basis.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or other project related software.Plus
PTV industry experience
Mechanical/Electrical Engineering minor
Fabrication capabilities
Product testing and validation experience
FEA and stress/strain gauge testing
Electrical development
Understanding of vehicle certification processes
One must have good written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills. Ability to take direction and follow through is a must, prioritize tasks, and delegate when appropriate. Applicants must be able to work well alone and as part of a team. Must be able to obtain a passport for overseas travel.
