    Maintenance Mechanic, Powered, Tools Warehouse

    Maintenance Department

    Tooling Maintenance Mechanic is a position within the Tooling Repair department. The Tooling Repair department is responsible for new tooling, existing tooling and equipment reliability sent to the field for various projects in relationship with contractual and non-contractual obligations. As a Maintenance Mechanic you are responsible to ensure equipment is functioning safely and limit any shortages for equipment in respective areas. This includes but not limited to electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping, and hoists/crane systems.

    Responsibilities

    Level 1

    Assess risk and verify functionality of equipment released to production.

    Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tooling equipment and some specialty tools.

    Installs machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and tests operation of unit to ensure functionality and performance.

    Safely perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas.

    Use and handle hazardous materials and understand their hazards at various locations using machines and equipment, properly segregate hazardous materials and waste.

    Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste.

    And all other duties as assigned.

    Level 2 (to include level 1)

    Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine needed repairs, parts, fabrication, new equipment installs, dimensions and tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

    Reads and understands, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic prints and symbols.

    Sets up and operates machine on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data.

    Communicate to warehouse and/or shipping the transport of hazardous materials and waste according to strict regulatory requirements.

    Level 3 (to include level 1&2)

    Troubleshoot under tense situations.

    Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

    Operates welding equipment to cut or weld parts. MIG, TIG and stick welding, also weld aluminum.

    Develops specifications from general description and draws sketch of part or product to be fabricated.

    Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, contractors, vendors, or others to resolve machining, technical process, or assembly problems.

    Ensure equipment is documented in SAP and Preventative Maintenance Plans are in place. This includes helping to define spare parts for associated equipment

    Qualifications

    Education: High school or GED required; 1 – 3 years on-the-job/other related experience equivalent preferable

    System skills - Microsoft Office, ERP / MRP systems, SAP.

    Ability to create a safe work area

    Strong Natural Ability to Work in Teams

    Good skills driving equipment (as required)

    Ability to get and/or current certification on usage of forklift/material handlers

    Good sense for details

    High Degree of Adaptability & Flexibility

    Strong Desire to Learn New Skills & Knowledge

    Frequent lifting and carrying of up to 50 pounds.

    Frequent kneeling, bending and reaching.

    Operation of vehicles and plant equipment

    Salary Range: $22.50-$29.71
