Job Description Summary
The Business Manager is responsible for the management of all state/drift/foundation and pre- and post-award processes for the faculty researchers assigned to the Business Manager's portfolio.This position requires experience managing pre-and post award activities on sponsored research contracts and grants including proposal preparation account reconciliations or equivalent accounting-related experiences.
The successful candidate must complete employment eligibility verification by presenting documents that establish identity and work authorization within timeframe required by federal immigration law,
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Three years of professional human resources payroll finance accounting procurement travel coordination experience Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four years of the required educationResponsibilities
This position includes but not limited to preparing budgets providing support for proposal submissions approving processing day-to-day transactions inquiries in accordance with applicable regulations completing monthly account reconciliations providing faculty researchers accurate account reports forecasts monitoring effort compliance salary support personnel completing award close-out procedures providing advice guidance in accordance with sponsor university policies procedures identifying issues concern solutions Other duties may be required assignedJob description
