    Job title: Senior Estimator

    Description

    We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management or business, with 7+ years of experience as an estimator within commercial construction.

    About the Role

    The estimator will be responsible for developing detailed cost estimates, including experience with conceptual estimating for both negotiated and hard bids, as well as overseeing an estimating team. They will work closely with the project manager to identify and report problems or deficiencies, and provide comparisons, cost-saving, and value engineering options.

    The estimator will also participate in the preparation of conceptual cost models, budgets, and feasibility models based on historical cost data and/or subcontractor input as appropriate. They will analyze project program, design, costs, and subcontractor input, and provide detailed explanations behind each estimate.

    In this role, the estimator will work collaboratively with the development team to prepare project cost estimates from client RFQ documents and drawings. They will maintain lines of communication between company departments, project managers, and clients regarding cost estimating activities.
