Director, Software Engineering

On the Item and Inventory team, we ensure our customers get their orders when and where they want them, in a frictionless, predictable manner.

What's more, we create reusable SaaS products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation.

With end-to-end inventory management, from replenishment and fulfillment to transportation, we give our drivers and partners the tools they need to get the right items to customers on time and in the right packaging.

What you'll do:
As Sr Director of Engineering forReplenishment you will be managing a global team of engineers in US and India.

The role entails the following responsibilities:
Own, influence, and execution of product roadmaps for key Growth areas.

Work with a team of Architects and Tech Leads to define, own and implement the technology strategy for providing deep insights, recommendations to drivegrowthManage the engineering organization through other directors and senior engineering managers.

Hire talent,mentorand grow the teamDrive e2e solutions across the supply chainDrive and measure operational and engineering excellence across the organizationPartner with other functional leaders to build and accelerateroadmapProactively monitor,identify,and resolve customer issues.

What you'll bring:
Experience in Data, developing Platforms (frontend and backend) and distributed systems.
Strong senior level engineering leadership expertise in medium to large size company.
Proven experience in hiring and mentoring world-class engineeringteamsLeading large-scale systems in fast-paced environments, startup experience is aplusExpertise in multiple distributed technologies (e.g. Spark/Storm, Kafka,Microservices.
Etc)Experience in one or more public cloud technologies like GCP, Azure, etc.
Experience in working in large teams using CI/CD and agile methodologies.
Excellent communication skills.
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 15+ years of industry experience.
