The
Team Lead
will work as part of a team having responsibility for assembling an entire product or component of a product. May participate in making management decisions affecting the work. Includes team leaders who work as part of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform all duties in a safe manner
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality in accordance with Company policies.
Directs the work of employees performing job functions in the department
Responsible for training new employees as well as evaluating and retraining present employees in job classifications under his or her direction
Interact in a professional manner with other employees/customers.
Work overtime as necessary.
Must know and be able to perform the work of any job classification under his/her direction.
Responsible for process records and production of the job function he/she directs.
Responsible for line speeds, efficiencies, housekeeping, work area layouts, tact boards being filled out, etc.
Must be able to start, shut down, operate and control equipment in the Department, and frequently check their operation.
Must be able to perform periodic work such as cleaning, making up cleaners and other solutions, and housekeeping.
May fill the classification of Team Member. Relieves employees in said department. Assists as needed to maintain quality, production rates, and utilization.
Report problems/issues to Department Supervisor
Checks quality of work and product being produced. Responsible for producing parts to quality standards. Abides by Company safety rules and policies. Responsible for monitoring those employees under his/her direction to see that they perform their work in accordance with Conduct, Safety & Quality rules and policies.
Other duties as assigned.
Help out as a regular production team member as needed from time to time.

Position Supervised or Directed:

Supervised.

Qualifications, Experience requirements:

Must have experience and a working knowledge of the product.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Must have knowledge of the current Bargaining Agreement and Company Policies.
Must be punctual and dependable with an excellent attendance record.
Must be computer literate.
Ability to attain a certified forklift license preferred.

General Requirements:

Able to travel to other divisions when required.
Detailed and hands-on oriented.

Working Conditions:

Office and manufacturing plant environment.
Requires physical ability, which may include standing, lifting, carrying, reaching, and working in areas that are not climate controlled for long periods.
Occasionally exposed to fumes.

Equipment Use:

SSW Machinery.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
