    Responsibilities:

    The Job At-A-Glance:

    As a Risk Analyst at Campus Life and Style you will be responsible for evaluating and managing insurance-related risks within our organization and with our third-party partners, brokers, and vendors. You will analyze insurance policies, assess potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them effectively. Your expertise in insurance products and risk management principles will be essential in ensuring that the organization's insurance portfolio aligns with its risk tolerance and business objectives. This position will also help with a new guarantor waiver program as well as our insurance and in-house programs.

    • Insurance Policy Analysis: Review and analyze insurance policies, including property, liability, professional indemnity, and other relevant coverages. Identify coverage gaps, limitations, and exclusions that may expose the organization to risks.
    • Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of various insurable risks on the organization's operations, finances, and reputation. Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques to assess risk likelihood and severity.
    • Risk Mitigation Strategies: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the organization's exposure to insurable risks. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, insurance brokers, and underwriters to optimize insurance coverage and reduce risk.
    • Claims Management: Monitor insurance claims and assist in the claims management process, including claim reporting, investigation, negotiation, and settlement. Ensure timely and accurate communication with insurers and claimants to facilitate the resolution of claims.
    • Insurance Portfolio Optimization: Continuously evaluate the organization's insurance portfolio to ensure that it adequately covers identified risks and aligns with the organization's risk tolerance and strategic objectives. Recommend adjustments to insurance programs as necessary.
    • Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory requirements and industry standards pertaining to insurance and risk management. Ensure that insurance policies and practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.
    • Insurance Program Administration: Assist in the administration of insurance programs, including policy renewals, premium payments, and documentation management. Maintain accurate records of insurance policies, coverage details, and claims history.
    • Reporting and Communication: Prepare regular reports and presentations on insurance-related matters for senior management and other stakeholders. Communicate complex insurance concepts and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

    • Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, finance, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, ARM) preferred but not required.
    • Proven experience in insurance risk analysis, underwriting, or claims management
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and quantify insurable risks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Familiarity with insurance regulations and industry standards.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and insurance software applications.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
