- Work with Veterinary Staff to maintain a high level of patient care throughout the animal park which includes excellent communication between the Veterinarians, Veterinary Technician, Curator Staff Warden Staff, and Seasonal Staff.
- Prepare and dispense daily medications.
- Prepare and process diagnostic samples for submission to outside laboratories.
- Perform in house diagnostics including but not limited to packed cell volumes, total protein, fecal parasite evaluation, urinalysis and urine sediment exams, and cytology.
- Assist with preventative and active health programs including urine and fecal collections, blood draws, drawing up medications and administering medications.
- Keep neat and written notes for anesthesia procedures, daily animal observations and be able to input records into ZIMS (computerized medical records program).
- Assist with cleaning and disinfecting various animal holding pens in the clinic.
- 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Some animal experience in the veterinary field is recommended.
- Outgoing, approachable, and positive attitude.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office Applications.
- Be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Be able to sit or stand for long periods, bend, crouch and climb.
- Follow all Six Flags company policies and procedures.
- Be able to work in or around water and be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Other duties as assigned by park leadership.
