- Determining the weight of items to be moved
- Comparing the weight of items to the maximum capacity of the crane
- Inspecting clearances, overhead lines, and other possibilities
- Transferring loads to construction sites and discharging safely
- Binding loads to cranes
- Perform daily inspections on equipment and machinery
- Keeping and updating maintenance and activity log
- Coordinating with ground operators and interpreting hand and verbal signals
- Following safety guidelines and protocols
- Proficient in oral and written communication skills
- Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain rapport
- Self-motivated individual accustomed to being in a position of responsibility
- A flexible schedule is a plus
- A high school diploma or equivalent education or work experience
- Valid crane operator certification from the NCCCO for Telescopic Boom – Swing Cranes (TLL) or an equivalent certification from a recognized training organization
- Valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of relevant safety regulations and industry standards
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations, and ANSI Standards in crane operations
