- Current Maryland State license as a Registered Nurse
- CPR certification not required, but preferred.

- Ability to perform the physical requirements of direct patient care.
- Ability to stand and walk almost constantly (up to 90% of work time) and lifting and positioning of patients (up to 50% of work time).
- Normal patient care environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature, and the like.
- Frequently exposed to adverse working conditions due to performance of certain patient care activities.
- Some exposure to communicable disease and hazardous chemicals.

- In collaboration with the Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist, identifies, plans and participates in educational programs based on organizational needs.

- Develops the orientation schedule for new employees in collaboration with the Clinical Manager, Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Specialist.
- Participates in and supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Team and departmental goals and objectives.
- Utilizes conflict resolution strategies to address operational and interpersonal issues as they arise.
- Responsible for sending Morning Report in collaboration with the Clinical Manager.
- Assist with trunk and bag checks.
- Provides support to the team for daily clinical concerns.
- Provides support to the team as a Subject Matter expert for Epic, Enclara, Medline, symptom management and Gilchrist Policies and Protocols.
- Provides direct services to a modified assigned caseload of patients and families
- Review documentation routinely for completeness and compliance.
- Communicates as necessary with other hospice departments to coordinate efforts, resolve operational problems and improve the quality of patient care.
- Assists with coordination of interdepartmental activities that have impact on patient care.
- Reviews patient plans of care to assure appropriate focus on patient priorities and interdisciplinary participation.

Education
Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing. BSN preferred.
Experience
