    Up to 10%Job DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Business Analyst - Product Development role is primarily responsible for gathering requirements for Cryoport Data Services solutions (ETL, Data Warehousing, Visualization, and API), assisting the Data Communication team for cellular and sensor-based asset tracking/medical devices with a strong understanding of algorithm and data structure, and supporting engineering product development PMO with standards and procedures.

    The Business Analyst - Product Development supports projects requiring design and implementation of a system that consolidates/aggregates data across various business platforms and distributes data to stakeholders.

    Requires interviewing various teams and stakeholders, analysis of their existing and future workflows, and ability to define requirements for various reporting and visualizations that will help the end users with decision making with insights generated from metrics and KPIs.

    This role also requires the ability to identify opportunities as well as optimize and automate the existing workflows to reduce manual work.

    Must possess strong understanding of logistics and supply chain processes and experience with systems implementation.
    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)

    • Design and manage API integrations to enhance our data services capabilities, including developing new APIs and optimizing existing ones to ensure seamless data exchange across systems.
    • Strong experience in data analysis, profiling, clean-up, data wrangling and validation. Hands-on experience building data quality checks and writing complex SQL queries.
    • Analyze business processes and systems within the logistics and supply chain industry to identify areas for improvement and increased efficiency.
    • Ability to interview different stakeholders to understand their workflows along with existing and future needs and translate them into application requirements.
    • Identify specific business opportunities.
    • Assist with project management responsibilities for selected projects/program.
    • Utilize JIRA to write user stories, document bugs, manage project tasks, prioritize work items, and track project progress.
    • Work with customer service, product, engineering, and design leadership to create and align product strategies that support customer needs and deliver on the value of brand.
    • Test business processes and recommend improvements.
    • Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories.
    • Write clear and well-structured business requirements/documents.
    • Identify automation opportunities.
    • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to understand business performance.
    • Analyze process issues and bottlenecks and make improvements.
    • Communicate and validate requirements with relevant stakeholders.
    • Develop and maintain reporting tools.
    • Perform data discovery, analysis, and modeling.
    • Collaborate with product manager on roadmap planning and prioritization.
    • Provide first line analysis and resolution of escalated problems.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering, technical field, or life Sciences. Advanced degree is a plus.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in the development and commercialization of technical/engineering/industrial products.

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Experience in API development, particularly with RESTful/GraphQL services and JSON, will be highly valued. This includes familiarity with designing, implementing, and managing APIs to improve data integration and accessibility.
    • Experience in managing projects in FDA-regulated industry or comparable experience in another regulated environment.
    • Experience in the medical device industry and compliance with internal Quality Systems

    Salary Range:
    Up to $135,000, dependent on experience
