    Job OverviewMaintain equipment in the best possible running condition with minimum downtime and cost. Perform journeyman-level work in the design, installation, construction, modification, repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.

    General ResponsibilitiesActively participate in "downs"; meetings; projects; and work on specific work orders as neededAssist with maintenance initiatives and monitor the compliance of all safety policiesCo-manage the Fire /Security system at the facilityManage the general facility maintenance-i.e., Snow removal; lawn/landscape maintenance; HVACActively participate in the ongoing training within the department for each employeeClearly communicate to all crews and shifts the events of the shift to ensure a smooth and highly productive handoff from shift to shiftFacilitate resolution of problems that may arise within the Maintenance area and bring unresolved issues to the Production ManagerUnderstand bearing removal and installation practicesPipefitting skills and proficiency at using hand tools, portable electric tools, and stationary shop equipmentValue in preventive and predictive maintenance practices such as daily rounds and lubricationPractice/understand rigging fundamentalsAbility to go online and troubleshoot and advanced PLC programmingKnowledge of contactors and starters, motors, and motor controlsInstalling and maintaining various electrical controls and automationWiring 460/230-volt 3 phase motorsUnderstanding of servo, hydraulic and pneumatically actuated equipmentInstalls machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial establishmentExperienced with electric motors from fractional hp to 600 hp including servo driven motorsRepair belt, chain, and sprocket conveyor systemsPossess introductory electrical aptitude, willing to grow in the electrical fieldAll other tasks as assignedRequirements for SuccessKnowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Have good mechanical aptitude and machine operating skills.
    Be willing to work various hours depending on production and training schedules.
    EducationHigh school diploma preferredTechnical or Vocational degree and demonstrated and related equivalent experience preferredManufacturing or Paper Converting experience is preferred
