    Responsibilities

    Reports directly to the VP of Accounting

    Establishes accounting policies, particularly related to Revenue recognition and Cost accounting and ensures compliance and consistency across the organization.

    Coordinate with External Auditors, Internal Auditors, and other stakeholders to facilitate the company's various reporting requirements.


    Partners with the Operations leadership team to understand performance, optimize finance related operational decisions, ensure appropriate financial/accounting rigor, introduce process discipline as needed, and safeguard company assets.

    Regional Controller responsibilities for several manufacturing plants (includes some travel)

    Manage month end/quarter end close responsibilities, including preparation and review of journal entries.

    Ensure consistency of accounting treatment and classifications of transactions.

    Maintain documentation of process and procedures for SOX compliance purposes and ensure controls are consistently performed.

    Hiring, training, and retaining skilled accounting staff.

    Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or economics with 5+ years of relevant experience.

    CPA designation strongly encouraged

    Progressive experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing environment, with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.

    Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost structures.

    Proven experience in developing and managing standard cost systems.

    Demonstrated general knowledge of financial accounting procedures is required.

    Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word skills.

    Must possess exceptional thoughtful and analytical skills, diligent with high attention to detail.

    Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, well organized.

    Agile and open to change.

    Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

    Ability to work independently, effectively handle multiple competing priorities and manage deadlines under pressure. Resourceful

    Strong project and time management skills.
