    $81,411.20/yr minimum - $122,054.40/yr maximum (range increases based on education, experience and certifications)

    Responsible for leading the organization through the transformation to population health, overseeing managed care contracts and directing the activities of the PHO (QHP) and related activities for Southern Illinois Healthcare

    Responsibilities

    Position Summary

  • Responsible for Physician Recruitment for all Southern Illinois Healthcare and Medical Services.
  • Job Roles

  • SafetyManages processes effectively in regard to employee/patient safety.
  • Record KeepingMaintains all required records, reports, statistics, logs, files and other documents as required, including but not limited to payroll, schedules and status changes.
  • Department ManagementMaintains 24 hour accountability for department, making independent decisions to implement strategies and programs for patient focus.Delegates authority and accountability to staff to ensure optimal outcomes and staff engagement.Evaluates effectiveness of unit/department based programs and processes to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Process ImprovementPromotes a culture of process improvement by establishing unit/department based programs that supports the system's process improvement goals.Actively participates on system-wide or hospital-based teams.
  • StaffingManages the unit/department effectively in regards to staffing and staff supervision.
  • Role Specific ResponsibilitiesPartners with Physician Relations Team and Med Staff Credentialing to ensure candidates/physicians move proficiently through recruitment, selection, credentialing, relocation, orientation, and new hire process.Liaison with SIH leadership on physician recruitment, and employment contract process. Actively works on enhancing assigned searches by specialty to include sourcing, job fairs, phone calls/interviews, reference checks.Assist with post interview evaluation collection, and physician new hire process and relocation.Analyses physician and other health resource supply and demand.Performs custom research.Maintains and enhances recruitment candidate database with candidate and opportunity information including tracking expenses.Develops descriptions and places targeted ads for assigned opportunities to serve as a guide for compensation, experience required, and specifically set forth criteria to be used in locating qualified candidates.Maintains Internet job postings and directs interested candidates to Management for review and interest within 24hrs of notification.Compiles and maintains current relevant marketing materials for mailing packets to be used for locating qualified candidates.Provide relative salary and benefit compensation averages based on National Statistics for each search.Reviews appropriate current industry information related to physician recruitment and physician relations, Stark law, and Visa support.Revises and maintains database of current recruitment firm/sourcing subscription contacts, history/placements with SIH, and contract information.Compiles data for each specialty search including number of available candidates per year and specialty and industry forecast.Revises and maintains physician database, contact information, and related expenses.Revises and maintains spousal database contact information, interests, participation in planned activities and expenses.Management and/or supervision of locum coordination including but not limited to contracts, rates, and candidate clearing.Management and/or supervision of apartment occupancy including but not limited to contracts, scheduling, payment processing, and supplies.
  • Qualifications

    Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Planning, Healthcare Administration
  • Experience and Skills

  • Technical Experience: 5 years in Healthcare related field.
  • Supervisory Experience: 2 years.
