    The Point Restaurant Group is now hiring for a Catering & Events Manager for our on & off site catering at out Fells Point & Towson locations. An ideal candidate is well organized, outgoing, and a hard worker with experience in the food and beverage industry. This person will be responsible for all aspects of event planning from initial contact through execution of the event. The Catering & Events Manager's main responsibility will be to generate special event & corporate catering revenue through sales and marketing efforts. Working with clients to design menus, offering support and guidance throughout the planning process and management of staff on site at events. Get paid to plan fun and exciting events

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement the restaurant's catering and events sales strategy to achieve revenue targets and profitability goals.
    • Booking and driving catering sales revenue through building relationships with guests, corporate clients, and event planners.
    • Responsible for selling, coordinating, and aiding in the execution of on & off site catering events
    • Participate in industry events, networking, and marketing activities to promote the restaurant's catering and event services and stay abreast of industry trends and best practices.
    • Weekly/Monthly prospecting efforts to include, but not limited to: Outside Sales calls/meetings, Local Business drops, Social Media posting with marketing team, Networking events, Tradeshows, and other additional accountabilities.
    • Coordinates all logistical event details including site inspections/tours, tastings, vendor meetings, day-of onsite client contact, menus, and room layout
    • Lead the planning and coordination of catering and event logistics, including menu planning, event design, staffing, rentals, and other event details to ensure flawless execution.
    • Collaborate with the Chefs to create innovative catering menus and experiences that align with the restaurant's brand and meet customer expectations.
    • Creating and customizing event proposals, Contracts, BEO, and confirming menu selections, timelines, and guest count when creating a banquet event order.
    • Catering & Event meetings with management to review upcoming events, discuss and rectify all logistical challenges, and to foresee all possible problems or hindrances.
    • Maintain & update minimum spends quarterly
    • Oversee the maintaining of Catering Socials, Website & Google Page with Marketing Team
    • Assist Marketing Team with Public & Networking Events
    • Lead, mentor, and train the catering and events team to achieve sales targets and customer satisfaction goals.

    This is an amazing position for anyone with restaurant or catering company experience as an event manager or coordinator, catering sales coordinator, catering sales manager, or director of sales. This position requires experience coordinating and selling events and the ability to work onsite.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Experience in Events Planning is a must
    Extraordinary networking and customer relationship building skills and good knowledge of the local market
    Computer savvy and experienced with various software systems, such as Triple Seat, or other CRMsCreativity and passion are essential
    Professional demeanor, dress and communications
    Ability to function as part of a team
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    Ability to interact respectfully with people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives and cultures
    Ability to take initiative and work as a responsible, self-managed leader;
    Excellent planning, organizational and research skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
    2 year experience in catering/event sales
    2 year experience in food and beverage

    Highly competitive pay with additional earning potential available based on ability and experience.
