    Job Description:

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Epidemiology and Surveillance:

      - Coordinates epidemiological data collection for notifiable MDRO conditions and AR organisms.

      - Conducts investigations and data entry into the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System.

      - Assists in the investigation of targeted AR Lab Network organisms.

    • Consultation and Technical Assistance:

      - Provides consultation on epidemiological investigations.

      - Monitors reports related to MDROs and AR organisms.

      - Coordinates response efforts for AR organisms.

    • Communication and Training:

      - Develops training for epidemiologists.

      - Reports investigation results to relevant organizations.

    • Other duties as assigned, including disaster response support.

    Knowledge Skills Abilities:

    • Knowledge of epidemiology principles and practices.
    • Skills in data analysis and interpretation.
    • Understanding of antimicrobial resistance and health care-associated infections.
    • Proficiency in public health informatics and database surveillance systems.
    • Ability to analyze public health needs and recommend improvements.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Expertise in managing large databases and preparing reports.
