- Comply with special education services within federal state/county procedural guidelines.
- Participate in the development and implementation of IEPs for those students identified as eligible for Hearing Impairment (HI) services.
- Provide ethical and evidence-based treatment, guided by data collection, response to treatment, and ongoing analysis of developing academic skills as well as auditory and language skills.
- Communicate and consult with students, parents, educators, administrators, and outside agency professionals.

Job DescriptionSalary: $45-$57AIS is looking for certified Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (ToDHH) in Virginia to join our team of independent contractors. ToDHH are itinerant and works in person in local school divisions to provide quality services to students with hearing impairments. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available in the following areas Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, and Richmond, Virginia.
The Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing functions as a member of a student's educational team to provide a comprehensive assessment of the student's strengths and weaknesses and to provide instruction on auditory skills and educational achievement in pre-school through school-age children.
