    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business required
    • Masters Degree in Taxation preferred
    • 6 to 15 years of Corporate Tax experience required
    • Supervisory experience preferred
    • CPA, CTP, or CMA designation preferred
    • Alteryx experience preferred

    What Will You Be Doing?

    The Senior Manager, Tax is responsible for income tax accounting, reporting, and compliance and assists with tax research, special projects and planning as required.

    Essential Functions

    • Tax compliance - Prepare and/or supervise the preparation of the federal, state and local, foreign, and capital tax returns, quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions, and other tax filings as necessary. Review required tax returns and ensure appropriate taxes are collected or assessed and properly remitted.
    • Tax reporting - Manage the preparation of corporate external financial statement tax calculations under ASC 740, quarterly and annual tax provisions and related footnotes, and ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control requirements.
    • Coordination and management of the tax requirements and external audits associated with the financial statements.
    • Technical Tax Research Monitor, research and analyze tax issues to maintain and communicate knowledge of past, present and potential future tax laws, regulations, rulings, procedures and court decisions to determine effects on the company and recommend appropriate tax positions, as well as implement any new tax regulatory requirements.
    • Internal Controls Ensure compliance with internal controls over financial reporting for SOX purposes and review monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.
    • Tax audits Coordinate the representation of the company during tax audits by ensuring compliance with government information or document requests. Respond to notices of proposed adjustments and assemble and maintain accounting and tax records to support filed returns and financial statement accounting entries for internal and external audits.
    • Budget Coordinate the collection of data for the annual operating plan and quarterly projections.
    • Strategic Tax Planning Manage and implement tax planning initiatives and cost savings strategies.
    • Technology Implement and administer IT systems related to Tax. Identify ways to streamline and improve processes.
  • Other Functions
    • Assist Tax Director with special projects and tax planning.
    • Interact independently with senior financial management.
    • Manage vendors to assist as needed in completing essential functions.
