    Description


    American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a PCU/MS float position with a neuro focus, requiring Epic proficiency and EMU monitoring training for epilepsy patients.

    Details

    Combined PCU and Medical-Surgical unit in a hospital setting
    Primary emphasis on neurological patients with overflow patient assignments
    Required to float between the PCU and Med-Surg units
    Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3–5 depending on acuity
    EMU (Epilepsy Monitoring Unit) monitoring and patient interviewing involved
    Epic EMR experience required
    Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
    Requirements

    Active KY or compact RN license in good standing, with no licensure hits

    Current certifications required:
    BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
    PCU or progressive care nursing experience required
    Neurological nursing experience strongly preferred
    Epic EMR experience required
    EMU monitoring and epilepsy patient interview training required
    2 supervisor references from within the last 3 years required for consideration
    Additional Information

    Candidates whose permanent residence is within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position
    Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months before being considered as a traveler
    All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of submission — RTO requests made after submission will not be approved
    13-week contract (14 weeks total assignment length)

    American Traveler Job ID #P Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined
