ARNP, Nurse Practitioner: This per-diem position is scheduled to work as needed for the Mason Health Walk-in ClinicCompensation: Exempt, pay range $

The Nurse Practitioner requires strong collaborative skills across multiple disciplines. This person will manage a diverse panel of patients in a busy family practice clinic. The ARNP may elect to work scheduled evening clinic hours, and when appropriate, act independently as a solo provider of service under telephone communication with a physician supervisor. The ARNP will cover evening or weekend telephone calls with other district providers on a rotating basis.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Obtain an appropriate medical history and perform a physical examination for any presenting problem(s).
2. Order specific laboratory studies and x-rays, and other studies as appropriate for the patient.
3. Perform or assist in laboratory or screening procedures routinely performed at the clinic site including collection of body fluid and tissue specimens and office microscopy.
4. Assess and interview in the common development and behavioral problems of the family and its individual members.
5. Maintain a current problem list, medication list, and immunization record of all patient records and perform timely processing of charts.
6. Promote health and disease prevention in all patients through age group specific interventions including immunizations, counseling, physical examination, and accept screening procedures.
7. Participate regularly in quality assurance and peer review activities, as well as medical and general staff meetings.
8. Adhere to highest standards of medical ethics at all times.
8. Documentation must be completed within 24 hours of visit, labs signed the day received and paperwork signed twice per week.
9. Performs other related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:
1. Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner program.
2. Minimum Two years' experience in Family Medicine preferred.
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
1. Licensed in the state of WA as a ARNP by the time of employment
2. DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
3. Board certified by the time of employment.
4. Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
