    In order to continually promote and create innovative products that support our vision we are currently seeking a Sales Analyst.

    This position is responsible for supporting the US Sales Division with analytics for internal and external customers.

    This role will include development of online content for SM Customer Trade Portal(s), creation and maintenance of dashboards and reporting solutions for sales management and developing analytics to support field sales.

    Sales Analyst II for our region office located in Kansas City, MO.

    Compile and analyze data to identify sales trends and/or opportunities and develop it into actionable tools that will drive the sales and distribution of SM brands.

    Support selling efforts by processing and analyzing data and publishing it to appropriate internal and external customers for the purpose of strengthening our competitive position in the market
    Create and maintain sales performance dashboards to be published on existing SM customer portals
    Evaluate third party data to gain market insights and report as appropriate to sales management
    Evaluate new data sources to broaden sales' awareness of market conditions and secure as needed.
    Track, measure and report KPIs for strategic sales initiatives
    Monitor and analyze competitive activity, customer, and market trends.
    Act as a liaison between business and IT to enhance existing SM databases
    Organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques
    Communicate results and business impacts of insight initiatives to stakeholders within and outside of the company
    Monitor and analyze inventory positions and provide mitigation recommendations to management on unfavorable positions
    Analyze Sales Operations budget and identify opportunities to optimize or improve efficiencies
    Develop automated solutions for assigning annual plan volumes

    Requirements

    Education :
    Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, economics or marketing required
    Experience : 5+ years in a business analyst capacity or related function

    Skills :
    Strong ability to analyze and disseminate large amounts of data. Strong organizational and communication skills. Must be adept at presenting and visualizing data. Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Power BI, optimizing complex, SSAS, Visual Studios, Tabular Models and SharePoint. Knowledge of Tableau is a plus.

    Specialized Knowledge :
    Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems (on-premise and cloud-based)
    Strong SQL skills, ability to perform effective querying involving multiple tables and subqueries
    Proficiency using syndicated data such as Nielsen and IRI.
    Familiarity with website content management tools

    Adoption Assistance
    The starting salary range for this position is between

    $73,100 - $97,400 .

    This position is eligible to receive an annual incentive based on regional performance.
    This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Starting pay will be determined based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law. These factors could result in a starting pay that is higher than the salary range listed.
