    Description

    Avera Medical Group Nephrology-Sioux Falls

    Seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide professional nursing care to patients and families in our multidisciplinary team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform general nursing care, administer prescribed medications and treatments, and coordinate patient care activities.
    • Prepare equipment and assist providers during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
    • Observe, record, and report patient's condition and reactions to drugs and treatments.
    • Oversee appointment scheduling and ensure timely flow of patients.
    • Greet patients, prepare them for physical examination, screen them for appropriate information, and document obtained information in patient chart.
    • Respond to patient phone calls with appropriate input from the physician.
    • Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
    • Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
    • Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensure cleanliness, and prepare list of medical supplies needed.
    • Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol and perform quality control.

    Qualifications:

    • Active license in the state of practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
    • Commitment to Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles.
    • Promote Avera's values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship.
    • Maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a team environment.
    • Comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA.
