About the Position

The University of Phoenix, Inc. seeks an Engineer III in Phoenix, AZ to develop and design software applications.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, code, test, and debug new and existing software applications and installed hardware. Develop and deploy cloud services. Install IT systems using university technology standards. Administer systems, including performing maintenance and system upgrades. Ensure IT security protocols are followed. Develop enhancements to existing IT systems and improve the functionality and compatibility of existing applications using engineering releases and utilities. Customize IT systems and maintain program libraries and technical manuals. Optimize hardware through software benchmarking. Provide direction and support to less experienced IT engineers to increase their understanding of software development practices and procedures. Test software applications and develop automated tests. Review and analyze test results, witness tests, and certify software for production. Attend workshops, review professional publications, establish personal networks, and participate in professional societies. Position may work from home anywhere in the United States up to 5 days per week. Annual Salary range: $107,070 - $156,500.

What You Bring to the Table

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Security, or related field plus 1 year (or Bachelor's degree and 5 progressive years) of software development experience. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following:

1)Digital marketing technologies and Content management systems;

2)Analyzing and designing web applications;

3)Web-based technologies including J2EE, JAVASCRIPT and HTML, CSS;

4)Web application experience in defect resolution and experience working with web application optimization and implementation;

5)N Tier application development; and

6)working and delivering features in an agile or scaled agile team environment.
