- Manage inbound international freight from origin to destination
- Create and manage operational reports
- In depth knowledge of all modes of transportation
- Track and trace shipments
- Liaison for internal customer support
- Cost analysis
- Route inbound and outbound domestic freight
- Ensure routing guides and incoterms are being used appropriately
- Obtain ad hoc quotes and manage hot shot requests
- Meet weekly with factory management to discuss issues and status of containers
- Manage KPI reporting
- Research freight bill issues and work with carriers to rectify
- Maintain SOP's for all department processes
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and service providers
- Provide POD's and other forms of documentation upon request
- Proactively research and report on trends and industry changes
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Transportation Manager
- Minimum 5 years of transportation specific experience preferably within a transportation department that purchases carrier services
- International experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Superb customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft products
- Strong sense of urgency with the ability to navigate issues and find resolutions
- Experience working with all modes of transportation
- Out of the box thinker

- TMS/SAP/ERP experience strongly preferred

This position reports to the Transportation Manager within Global Services- Logistics for the North America region of Danfoss supporting four business segments in more than twenty locations in the US, Mexico and Canada. This is a leadership opportunity where you will be working with the established team to enhance the current network and manage day to day transportation operations for our Power Solutions segment.
