  • Position Summary:

    Support health equity & patient outcome improvements through planning, design, development, and maintenance of a health equity dashboard. Responsible for the integration of public health performance improvement strategic leadership and oversight for organization-wide performance improvement program, including internal, accreditation and certification activities, promoting a culture of and team member engagement in improvement. Provides leaders of Manages organizational Performance Improvement department and quality activities, including regulatory and voluntary/collaborative reporting and compliance, coupled with the integration of outcomes management, data analysis in clinical and operational activities. Collaborates with leadership, medical staff, and team members regarding improvement initiatives and requirements and Performance Improvement Committees. Continuously reviews, assesses, and recommends quality focus areas for the organization. Acts as a resource, data, problem-solving, and improvement expert supporting leadership, medical staff, committees, accreditation, certification, and process improvement initiatives.

    Position Qualification:

    Bachelor's Degree in health, or science field. Data analytics and visualization experience preferred.
    1-2 years' experience and working knowledge of health care data (types, collection, analysis)
    Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) (or equivalent); requirement within two years of employment in position.
    Strong working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Products.
    Ability to learn new software and products.
    Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to complete responsibilities and achieve goals and objectives.
    Familiarity of health care regulatory agencies and guidelines related to performance improvement and data (TJC, CMS) - or ability to become familiar and confident in interpretation and application of those guidelines..
    Ability to effectively communicate and positively interact with diverse organizational roles.
    Ability to use critical thinking skills to identify, research and solve problems.
    Ability to prepare, participate, and conduct effective meetings, resolve conflict, and manage change with diverse team members.
    Ability to analyze and effectively present data at all levels of the organization.
    Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality of patient outcomes and physician performance.
    Ability to create presentations and training materials meaningful to the audience and scope of role.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.

    Desired:
    Master's Degree
    Experience in quality & performance improvement (health care preferred)
    Awareness and use of Tableau, Premier Quality Advisor, Cerner and/or McKesson systems.
