    NDE Engineer- Sign on Bonus and Relocation available for select candidates


    Your Responsibilities:


    You will play a key role with our Quality Assurance organization with respect to Quality Control to ensure quality requirements are met or exceeded for our power manufacturing facility EMD (Electrical- Mechanical).

    You will interface with operation supervisors, engineering, program management, hourly and salaried workforce daily to meet the needs of the business within the shop.

    You will maintain Inspection and Operations work force qualification, leading training, monitoring personnel, recommending new techniques and equipment, and establishing/maintaining the Non-destructive examination procedures and processes will be vital to the role.

    Your Challenge:
    Lead the actions for the planning, implementation, and maintenance of Non-destructive examination procedures, training, and testing.
    Responsible for training Inspection and Operation personnel on, but not limited to the following:Penetrant Testing
    Visual Testing
    Magnetic Particle Testing
    Ultrasonic Testing
    Radiography Testing
    Welder Workmanship
    Alloy Identification​

    Facilitate and oversee the quality program regarding Non-destructive examination scope
    Risk Management; Leads investigations and elimination of causes of significant performance deficiencies
    Keeps manager regularly informed of work progress, reporting delays or issues with customer, code representatives, suppliers, or other divisions. Analyzes issues to determine the necessity for management involvement
    Understand customer satisfaction and drive it through EMD
    Knowledge Transfer (*)
    Training and mentoring Inspection, Operations and Engineering personnel
    Contain and manage quality issues as they relate to Non-destructive examination at the appropriate levels of the organization
    Ensure that supplier and customer contractual requirements are met.
    Perform data analysis to evaluate processes and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions

    Participate and perform as reviewer within internal control processes such as, but not limited to, requirements flow down, certified material test report reviews, procedure reviews, and quality inspection plans.

    Exhibit the core values of Curtiss-Wright as a representative of the business when interfacing with suppliers, customers (internal and external), and regulators.

    Evaluate contract proposals to ensure that the appropriate requirements are flowed down to the suppliers and understood by internal customers
    Participate on commercial grade surveys and audits as required
    Coordinate witness and hold point with customers (internal/external) as required
    Apply standard industry problem solving tools
    Ability to be a self-starter, work independently, and drive actions to completion
    Other duties as assigned


    What you Bring:
    Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Science or equivalent.

    3+ years of experience in quality or engineering; experience performing non-destructive examination testing in a Commercial or Navy Nuclear environment would be preferred.

    Training and certification in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or NSTR-99 to meet the requirements of ASME NB-5500, NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010/271, NAVSEA or MIL-STD-2132.

    Level III/Examiner certification preferred; Level II/Inspector certification required in Radiography Testing and either Magnetic Particle or Ultrasonic Testing. Must be willing to learn and certify in other NDE disciplines, as assigned.
    Working knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance Programs, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes, ISO-9001
    Knowledge and experience with welding processes, including but not limited to
    Experience associated with manufacturing processes, materials engineering, and/or non-destructive examination.
    Supervision/Management experience preferred
    Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance
