Description

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a scalable and reliable infrastructure to run my client's solutions.

My client requires a robust set of cloud and on premise based services to ensure customer PLM services meet Service Level Agreement standards.

These services include monitoring, alerting, trending, system integration, automation, and data orchestration.

Essential Job Functions

Develop and maintain the PLM monitoring system and related services based on Prometheus, Grafana, PTC/Thingworx, and the Atlassian stack.
Manage and maintain our cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
Ensure the security and compliance of our infrastructure and applications.
Automate routine tasks and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues in a timely manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute system updates, upgrades, and migrations.
Ensure that all systems and processes delivered meet the organization's quality standards and user requirements.
Recommend and implement best practices.

Required Education And Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the field of Service Desk, Managed Services, MSP, or related fields.
Experience in monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Nagios.
Development background in scripting with tools such as Linux BASH, Windows Powershell, JavaScript, Java, and Python.
Strong knowledge of public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, and Gov Cloud versions and their services.
Experience with Atlassian DevOps stack.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker.
