    Position Summary
    The Department of Ophthalmology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, invites
    applications for an Open Rank Pediatric Surgical Ophthalmologist position.

    Responsibilities include outpatient care, surgical responsibilities, an interest in clinical and/or bench research, and resident and medical student teaching and supervision.

    This position will serve patients at both the UNC Kittner Eye Center, located 2226 Nelson Hwy, Ste. 200, Chapel Hill, NC and at various other clinical sites owned by UNC Eye.

    Academic rank and salary are commensurate with experience


    Note:
    The Department will consider variable hours (full-time or part-time) from 0.5 FTE - 1.0 FTE.


    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
    Prerequisites include successful graduation from an approved ophthalmology residency training program, a 1- or 2-year fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology. Qualifications include demonstration of excellence in all scholarly and training activities. The position requires board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for licensure in North Carolina.


    Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
    Prior experience in academic medical setting.
