    Description

    Summary:

    The Patient Financial Representative is an entry levelposition that is responsible for the duties and services that areof a support nature to the RCBS High Performance Work Teams.Ensures that all processes are performed in a timely and efficientmanner. Performs assigned duties such as mail handling, scanning,sorting, assembly, copying, faxing and data entry. Although thisposition is entry level, it is of a developmental nature withexpectation of future growth within the RCBS.

    • Ensures daily productivity standards aremet.
    • Performs medical record requests whennecessitated by payers. Monitors to ensure receipt of recordswithin established target. Provides management with reports ofoutstanding requests when targets are not met.
    • Perform support services for departmental Associates such as faxingof documents, copying, printing of forms, data entry and receptionrelief.
    • Gathers all information needed toensure payment of the claim.
    • Responsible forrequesting, printing and forwarding all required documentation topayers.
    • Retrieve EOB's as necessary asrequired.
    • Process handwrittenadjustments.
    • Performs mail retrieval, sorting,distribution and inter-facility delivery duties for all RCBSAssociates.
    • Performs all scanning relatedactivities.
    • Works collaboratively with teammembers to assist in keeping workload evenlydistributed.
    • Coordinates, communicates andassists in monitoring work flow and work tasks as necessary tomanage fluctuating volumes.
    • Provides feedbackto team and team lead to help in identifying process educational,and mediation needs through Management By Factprocess.
    • Ensures quality standards are met inclerical services performed in accordance with Integrity andCompliance guidelines.
    • And all other dutiesassigned.

    Requirements:

    • HS Diploma or equivalencyrequired
    • Post HS educationpreferred
