    Job Title: Senior Plumbing Engineer at Burns & McDonnell

    What you will do

    • Lead plumbing engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring efficiency.
    • Meet project requirements set by clients and project management.
    • Prepare plumbing equipment specs, RFQs, bid summaries, and purchase recommendations.
    • Review vendor drawings and coordinate with suppliers and other teams.
    • Participate in project development and planning, overseeing change orders.
    • Apply industry standards and expertise to find innovative design solutions.
    • Quality check production drawings and construction administration.
    • Lead field inspections and resolve design-related issues.
    • Prepare technical reports and build client relationships.
    • Participate in sales and marketing efforts, lead cost proposals.
    • Mentor team members and lead the plumbing engineering practice.
    • Ensure compliance with safety policies and QA/QC processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 7 years of experience or
    • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 6 years of experience.
    • EPC project experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of plumbing equipment design codes and engineering techniques.
    • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Flexible to travel locally and nationally.
    • PE License and CPD certification preferred.
