    Duties As a Production Controller (CONSTRUCTION), GS , you will receive and review all work requests (oral and written) for validity, accuracy, and feasibility
    Serve as the focal point for automated work control programs
    Ensure fiscal responsibility by establishing work orders and job orders under the correct organizational funding codes
    Establish and operate the customer service center
    In conjunction with Facility Manager, coordinate and direct periodic inspections of Real Property and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE)
    Establish and operate the Operations Flight Command and Control Center during normal, contingency, and emergency operations
    Establish and maintain facility folders to include records of all significant maintenance and improvements that have not been capitalized
    Coordinate training/work schedules for contractors, state and Federal employees, and Traditional Guard personnel with the Logistics Management Specialist or the Unit Training Manager in order to maximize training opportunities
    May be required to assign, direct, and review work of subordinate
    Initiate, monitor, and administer contracts, within delegated authority
    Introduce material requirements into the supply system and schedules the work when the material is received
    Perform other duties as assigned

    APPOINTMENT STATUS:
    EXCEPTED This is a Dual Status Excepted Service Technician position in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard


    AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

    Bargaining Position AOC 1:
    NG Employees working at the location specified AOC 2: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard AOC 3: All Service Members of the Pennsylvania National Guard (to include Temporary Technicians)

    AOC 4:
    Service Members currently serving in another branch and are willing to become members of the Pennsylvania National Guard TEMPORARY PROMOTION/


    REASSIGNMENT:
    Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status


    INDEFINITE:
    Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician
    Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period
    Indefinite appointments may be separated when their services are no longer needed or when funding is no longer available via a 30-day termination notice

    GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
    Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity


    SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
    Application must indicate at least 24 months experience, education or training preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes
    Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc


    QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE:
    Length of time is not of itself qualifying
    Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed
    The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled
