Compliance Coordinator - Minneapolis, United States - Velairmanagement
Description
Provide technical knowledge, monitoring, and advanced planning in order to ensure site staff complete necessary compliance tasks and conform to monitoring agency requirements.
Provide guidance and support to ensure staff completes move-in certifications in a timely manner, within program guidelines and to Velair Property Management standards.
Monitor status, audit Yardi and complete reporting on compliance status.Coordinate projects including lease-ups and audits with corporate and site staff. Travel to properties and complete scheduled work as necessary.
Work with site staff to ensure there are no issues of non-compliance in the portfolio.
Monitor and ensure compliance with state agency and lender requirements.
Coordinate, prepare for and participate with agency and lender inspections, respond to all audit findings with concise and accurate responses within the required deadlines as directed.
Provide training and coaching for staff as needed.Complete and submit reports to owners, monitoring agencies, lenders, and investors.
Manage compliance mapping and monitoring reports in Yardi in a manner that ensures they are accurate and up to always date.
Complete Yardi property, state agency, and syndicator first year file review set up.Remain current in knowledge of program requirements and update policies and procedures regularly as directed.
Ability to follow all Velair practices, policies, and procedures as instructed and outlined through company trainings, the Velair Handbook, etc.
Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Relevant experience or knowledge of Property Management and Compliance
3 years of Project Based Section 8
HOME, Section 42 and Section 811 program experience a plus
Have or obtain an industry recognized COS certification within 6 months of hire
Bachelor's Degree or 4 years in property management experience
Advanced knowledge of strategic business management and compliance monitoring requirements
Ability to communicate in English clearly with the others orally and in writing
Able to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos
Able to write professional correspondence, training instructions and technical direction
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees
Ability to work in-office full-time
