    We are seeking a PHARMACIST SPECIALIST with an interest in ICU, ED, and precepting to join our Inpatient team in Wausau, WI at Aspirus Wausau Hospital

    At Aspirus Health, our pharmacy team plays a crucial role in the care of our patients. Join our team to work in collaboration with the care team through direct patient care services of verifying and dispensing medications, providing clinical services through protocols for insulin, heparin, vancomycin dosing, antimicrobial stewardship, participation on the code teams, and precepting students and residents. Opportunity to practice in areas of cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, neurology, oncology and others.

    Licensure
    • Current WI Pharmacist license.
    • Membership in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists or the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Pharmacy Society of Wisconsin desired.
    • Current BLS certification or obtained within 90 days of hire.
    Education/Experience/Qualifications
    • Knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's or Doctorate Degree in pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy, with a Doctorate required for some specialty areas of clinical practice as defined by specialty description.
    • Completion of a residency and/or fellowship in pharmacy practice preferred and board certification or eligibility for such in specialty area of pharmacy practice, or equivalent experience desired.
    • A minimum of three years' experience desired in institutional, hospital or health system pharmacy practice to enhance and develop skills.
    • Unique experience in a specialty area of pharmacy practice, beneficial.
    Hours: Full Time or 1.0 FTE. Day/PM, weekend/holiday rotation.

    Aspirus Wausau Hospital is the flagship of the Aspirus system that serves patients in 14 counties across northern and central Wisconsin, as well as the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. It is a licensed private/not-for-profit facility with 325 beds and staffed by 350 physicians in 35 specialties. Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a Level II trauma center that provides primary, secondary and tertiary care services as a regional referral center. Specialty referral service emphasis exists in cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, orthopedics and cancer. The hospital has an average daily inpatient census of 220 with approximately 15,000 admissions per year.
