    POSITIONSUMMARY:

    Provide Psychiatric and/orChemical Dependency counseling services to the patients admitted toColiseum Center for Behavioral Health inpatientunits.


    KEYRESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Provides individual,group, and marital/ family therapy/ counseling in a variety ofpsychiatric settings.
    • Performs PsychosocialAssessments.
    • Provides treatment planning.
    • Provides discharge planning including linkage to communityresources, referral sources and post discharge careproviders.
    • Provides referrals for extended treatment oroutpatient follow up.
    • Conducts psychoeducational groupsand classes for patients and families.
    • Functions as amember of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
    • MakesPost Discharge Wellness Check Calls on dischargedpatients.
    • Ensures and maintains confidentiality andprivacy of patient information.
    • Maintains appropriateprofessional boundaries.
    • Possesses excellent writingand verbal skills.
    • Is knowledgeable of and follows allpolicies in daily job performance.
    • Actively seeks waysto control costs without compromising patient safety, quality ofcare or the delivered.
    • Attends in-servicepresentations and completes all mandatory educationrequirements.
    • Regular, punctual and dependableattendance.

    Basic computer skills.
    Good workingknowledge of community resources for psychiatry, psychotherapy, andmutual support groups in local and surrounding area.
    Ability to perform as a team member on a multi-disciplinarytreatment team of physicians, nurses, activities therapists andtechnicians.

    Qualifications:


    MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED:

    Mastersdegree required.


    MINIMUMEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Two (2) years ofexperience in a clinical setting, either inpatient oroutpatient/partial hospital setting addressing both psychiatric andchemical dependency issues with clients.

    Experience toinclude two (2) years of supervised experience in psychiatricsetting or addictive disease treatment setting, or three (3) yearsof continuous active recovery in twelve stepprogram.


    MINIMUMLICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BYLAW:

    Professional certification and/orlicensure as LCSW/LMSW; LMFT/LAMFT; LPC/LAPC. Full licensepreferred.


    ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS:

    American Red Cross orAmerican Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS)and Certification.
    CPI certification within the first 90days of employment required.
    Strong communication skillsin both oral and written format.
    Flexibility to interveneon a moments notice.
    Ability to problem-solve and seekassistance from team members when necessary.
    Knowledgeablein innovative therapeutic interventions for the populationserved.
