Job description
Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will contribute to the Department's goals in research, teaching, and service. The typical teaching load is three courses per semester. Course reductions are possible given grant funding, administrative duties, or if otherwise negotiated.
The successful candidate will be expected to establish a program of empirical research including peer-reviewed publications, presentations, and external grant applications, and to involve undergraduate and graduate students in their research program.
Minimum QualificationsThe Department of Psychology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Appalachian State University invites applications for a 9-month tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor.
We seek applicants in any area of psychology with an established record of research related to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
The successful candidate can affiliate with any of our four graduate programs:Clinical PsyD, Experimental Psychology MA, Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Human Resources Management MA, or School Psychology MA/ SSP
Minimum qualifications include:
PhD in Psychology – ABD will be considered for this position.
Evidence of successful defense of the dissertation must be received by July 31 for a fall hire or November 30 for a spring hire.
Established program of research on topics related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Demonstrated record of teaching experience.Similar jobs
