    Job Description Summary

    A Systems Consultant is responsible for the system design and configuration of implementations and special projects.

    This role will take direction from Implementation Managers and/or Account Managers, prioritize the work for the team, work through team analysts to deliver efficient and high-quality implementations.


    Responsibilities

    Designs and oversees configuration of benefits administration system rules, web sites, forms, reports and other functions
    Directs an implementation team in the successful delivery of high-quality implementations and on-going production support of client solutions
    Ensures design and configuration addresses client requirements and adheres to the approved design
    Actively and consistently supports all efforts to create efficiency and enhance the implementation experience through use of tools, methodology, or skill sets
    Participates in client and vendor meetings to understand the solution requirements and advise the team on best practices and system capabilities
    Understands the Scope of Work and any Service Level Agreements under the Clients maintenance agreement
    Identifies scope changes and communicates them to the Implementation Manager and/or Account Manager. Assists in the development of Change Orders for those out of scope projects.
    Responds to and analyzes user submitted configuration issues in a timely manner
    Ensures timely resolution of configuration enhancement requests and issues
    Tracks and communicates documentation updates and provides necessary direction to the implementation team when requirements or processing changes are needed
    Performs configuration and unit test reviews to ensure client requirements are met
    Identifies risks to client satisfaction on a timely basis and assists the team in mitigation solutions
    Collaborate with IT and the Solutions Architecture teams to ensure all implementations meet client expectations as well as our latest standards and best practices
    Perform gap analysis upon receipt of client requirements to proactively identify any product enhancements needed
    Instill and reinforce a strong customer service and business-oriented ethic in the entire team
    Provide coaching and training to Implementation Analysts
    Review project schedules, allocated resources, and assess against system and team capabilities; provide timely feedback to the Implementation Manager and/or Account Manager and ensure timely delivery of all configuration tasks

    Requirements

    5+ years of experience in software implementation, with work experience in Benefits/HR/payroll industry.
    Minimum of 2 years of people management experience
    Experience with SQL and comfortable writing queries for relational database systems
    Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, Health & Welfare and/or Insurance Industry, and parameterized configuration
    Excellent communication skills both written and verbal; communicates effectively with clients, management and peers; is an advocate for documentation
    Works well as a member of a team; inspires others through energy, enthusiasm, and optimism
    Ability to multi-task in a challenging fast paced environment.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving and creative-thinking skills
    Understands and leverages the companys structure and relationships; pursues organization support and resources
    Exceptional customer focus and strong professional acumen
