About Project Street Vet
Project Street Vet provides free, no‑judgment veterinary care to pets whose guardians are experiencing homelessness. Led by practicing veterinarians, we strengthen the human–animal bond and bring compassionate care directly to those who need it most.
Position Overview
We are hiring a Marketing & Communications Manager
to lead and execute PSV's brand, marketing, and storytelling efforts. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on content creation to help drive awareness, engagement, and fundraising. This role will be expected to attend events in Los Angeles and San Diego counties. Residence in or near Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego counties is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead brand-driven marketing and communications across social media, email, website, events, and media outreach.
- Develop and manage an annual marketing and communications calendar.
- Create high-quality content including social posts, email campaigns, website updates, and fundraising materials.
- Support donor, sponsor, and partner engagement with compelling stories and materials.
- Use performance data to refine messaging, improve engagement, and enhance outcomes.
- Maintain consistent, on-brand voice and visual identity across all communications.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications for a nonprofit or purpose-driven brand
- Experience developing and executing integrated marketing strategies
- Proficiency in social scheduling tools (Later, Hootsuite, Buffer), email platforms (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot), and website management (Squarespace preferred)
- Strong visual and content creation skills (Canva required)
- Experience creating materials across channels such as websites, email, events, and social media
Preferred:
- Experience in animal welfare, social services, or homelessness
- Experience with sponsorships, donor communications, or media relations
- Spanish language skills a plus
Work Requirements
This role includes desk-based work and on-site event support, including standing/moving for extended periods and occasionally lifting up to 30 lbs. Reasonable accommodations are available.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70, $80,000.00 per year
