Job Summary
Under the direction of the special education administrator, school principal or certificated personnel, serves as an aide in the supervision, care and instruction of behaviorally, emotionally and educationally challenged students. Assists in the implementation of behavior management program to students with disabilities according to their IEP, 504, SST plan and following the guidelines provided by Santa Rosa City Schools District.
Additional other duties as assigned related to emergency, crisis and/or pandemic.
**New Hire Sign on Bonus of $1,000
Bonus is a one time "off-schedule" stipend for New Classified employees. First $500 paid after second supplemental pay period of working month, remaining $500 paid at end of school year.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Any combination equivalent to: graduation from High school, supplemented by training and/or experience working with children in a learning situation.
* 2 Letters of recommendation.
*Must pass Paraprofessional exam before employment offer. To schedule exam, contact Ida Woldeslassie at or EXT 80610
If you have 48 college credit units or more, you are exempt from taking the Paraprofessional exam.
Attach college transcripts to application.
* Desirable: Interest in working with individual and small groups of children.
Collaboration with the classroom teacher(s) to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs in order to access the curriculum.
Implement behavioral programming to support students in the educational setting.

Work Week: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM
