    JOB SUMMARY
    The accountant assists the controller in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the accounting department.

    The position is responsible for financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, corporate reports, and other administrative functions in the accounting department.


    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Performs cost analysis related to manufacturing overhead rates.
    • Performs financial analysis related to sales, margins, department expenses.
    • Assists with Corporate reporting, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Assists with SOX testing.
    • Assists with the development of the annual profit plan, forecasts, and process improvements.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Education
    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics

    Experience
    3 -5 years Financial Analysis, and Accounting principles

    Professional Skills


    • Advanced excel skills; strong understanding of GAAP principles; ability to analyze balance sheets, income statements, department expense reports
    • Experience with implementing process improvements
    • Cost analysis
    • Journal entry preparation / account reconciliations
